1. Early change in your career is always easy than do the same after 8-10 years of exp.
2. Knowledge and exposure to the future line of business. Higher the expire easier the change for you

Depends on a few factors like -

1. Which Industry is it and how is that industry evolving locally/globally
2. What timeline in your career are you planning to change the LOB
3. Any market research or experience that you have done before switching the LOB

In my 20+ years of exp, I have changed my LOB few times and overall it worked out well. Few things that helped me were -

1. Zeal to learn with open minded approach
2. Using basic common sense and not making it too complicated, eventually its no rocket science
3. Problem solving mindset, root cause analysis, cause & effect etc.
4. People management skills - T.E.A.M (Together Everyone Achieves More)
